Kinesiology and Human Kinetics

Kinesiology and Human Kinetics

Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement, performance and function. It applies the science of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, psychology and neuroscience to human movement and function. On a practical level, kinesiology utilizes science-based research and assessment to aid in the enhancement of human performance, such as sport or work environments and to assist in the prevention or rehabilitation of injury, lifestyle diseases and other physiological conditions.

Custom orthotics

Custom orthotics

Custom orthotics are scientifically proven to assist in proper lower limb alignment which can alleviate low back, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain. Before prescribing your orthotics, a thorough orthopaedic exam, biomechanic assessment, and gait analysis is performed.  We then use a state of the art 3D volumetric scanner to capture an image of your foot in subtalar neutral (the ideal position of the foot). This process is recognized by all major insurance companies.
